Understanding the world of electricity around us
Electricity plays an essential role in our lives but, in many cases, the signs of its presence in our surroundings remain little understood. Électrium invites you to discover the extent of Hydro-Québec’s production parks. You can also learn more about different aspects of electricity: the origin of lightning, the earth’s magnetic field, electricity in the human body and the secrets of electric eels. Enjoy the unique experiences offered by Électrium and don’t miss the new additions to our program: Hydropower Projects – Spotlight on Québec Know-How, a film that explains how dams and power stations are designed and built, using major projects as examples; Follow the line, an animated film illustrating how electricity gets from the power station to your home; and an interactive module that explores the vital role of electricity in the human body.
IN ADDITION TO EXHIBITIONS
Lots to learn, lots to enjoy
Électrium offers guided tours adapted to the needs of various clienteles. School groups, technical groups, day camps, seniors and families are invited to visit us throughout the year. Tours are complemented by films and several interactive modules.
