50 minutes from Montréal.

Founded in 1985, Expression, Centre d’exposition de Saint-Hyacinthe, is a museum whose mission is to promote contemporary and current art and to make it better known. Housed in a vast, majestic space, Expression presents exhibitions that are recognized for their high artistic quality. The museum’s regular program includes educational services, talks and publications. In addition, Expression offers various satellite activities.
IN ADDITION TO EXHIBITIONS
Satellite activities
Apart from its regular program, Expression presents activities of an artistic, cultural and heritage nature. These activities, whether organized by Expression or by other professional groups, may take different forms such as video art screenings, poetry readings, contemporary dance and exhibitions of religious articles. Our most important satellite activity is doubtlessly a competition called Place à la critique, which invites the public to take on the role of art critic and write texts on an exhibition presented by Expression.
Talks
To complement each exhibition, Expression organizes talks given by an artist, curator or cultural actor. These talks vary in form and may include such activities as performances, discussions and guided tours. Talks that precede or follow openings are enjoyable occasions to learn more and obtain answers to your questions.
Expression also provides a free service of 30-minute guided tours for community, social and cultural groups.
