Dix-sept musées à découvrir !

Principal theme : HISTORY

One hour from Montreal.

When it opened in 1849, the Saint-Ours Canal became part of a network that made it possible for boats to travel from the St. Lawrence to the Hudson River, linking Montreal with New York. For more than a century, the Saint-Ours Canal was essential to international, regional and local trade. You'll be amazed by the ingenious design of the contemporary lock and dam straddling Darvard Island and the Vianney-Legendre fish ladder. Pathways through the undergrowth on the island provide visitors with opportunities to observe plants and wildlife specific to this site.

IN ADDITION TO EXHIBITIONS

- Observe boats as they go through the lock
- Observe fish and visit the Vianney-Legendre fish ladder
- Observe plants and wildlife
