The Missisquoi Museum is located in Stanbridge East, on the banks of the Pike River. Opened in l964, it is managed by the Missisquoi Historical Society (MHS). The Museum occupies three buildings: the Cornell Mill (19th century), which holds the main collection, related to life in Loyalist times; the Hodge Store, a former general store retaining over 90 percent of its original merchandise dating from the World War II period; and the Annex, which houses a large farm machinery collection.
IN ADDITION TO EXHIBITIONS
The Museum organizes special events such as the Annual Apple Pie Festival and a silent auction. It also manages an archive centre.
