Workshop tour
The activities offered by the museum enable students to discover art and textile traditions both here and further afield. The guided tour of the current exhibition encourages children to discuss and learn about a variety of topics. These range from the aesthetic, technical, social, historic and economic aspects of art to the textile traditions and skills of different societies. A creative workshop, related to the exhibition, lets students explore such concepts and develop their manual dexterity.
A made-to-measure activity related to the museum’s main theme can also be developed for your class. For more information, please contact the head of the museum’s educational service.
Secondary, College and University
Adapted guided tour
The museum’s guides can adapt tours to the particular needs and interests of visitors, whether they belong to a group with specialized concerns or a group from secondary schools, colleges or universities.
Art critic for a day
This activity, designed to appeal to secondary students, invites them to use their creativity and judgment by writing an article on a current exhibition as if they were art critics. In doing so, they develop their competences in the field of art as well as their language skills.
Cost: $3.00 per student
Length of activity: 1 hour or more, depending on activity
